Pursuant to the Ordcr of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (" Licensing er Board") at the Special Prehearing Conference held in Ilontgomery, Alabama on Augus t 21,1980,1/ motions for an extension of time in which to file addi-tional contentions have been filed by petitioners David L. Allred and the Safe Enenjy Alliance of Central Alabama, Inc. ("SEACA").2_/

The liRC Staff has no objection to the requested extension of time, until Septembe r 20, 1980, in which petitioners Allred and SEAC/ would be allowed to file additional contentions based upon materials which they previously hac not examined (Tr. at 32).

The Staff notes that petitioners Allred and SEACA are required to file a memorandum setting forth good cause sufficient to support their late filing of additional contentions, at the time they filr those contentions (Tr. 32, 32).

Further, we note that the Licensing Board has authorized "[t]he parties who wish to concent on the contentions and the nemorandun showing good cause" to do so (Tr. at 32-33).
