This letter provides our response to the Final Report, transmitted by your Mr.
Steven A. Varga to our Mr. John J. Barton by letter dated Septemb r 13, 1993, of the OSRE reSalts and conclusions requiring a response in.45 days from date of receipt.
In general, we found the OSRE Team visit to be helpful in providing us with additional insights to how the operational readiness and response of the Security responn force as well as Operations interfaces could be effectively impro ci, over and above the Regulatory Effectiveness keview conducted in 1968. The enclosure to this letter addresses each of the three areas of concern identified in the report as potential weaknesses. GPUN believes that our responses will sufficiently strengthen each of the areas identified and resolves the OSRE Team concerns. The enclosure contains SAFEGUARDS INFOPMATION and in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 must be withheld from public disclosure.
