SUBJECT:
SU W RY OF MARCH 10, 1981 MEETING REGARDING CORPORATE MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1.
General Representatives of the staff met on March 10, 1981, with representatives of the applicant to discuss the applicant's corporate management oualifications and training. The meeting was held at the NRC offices in Bethesda, Maryland.
A list of those persons who attended the meeting is included in the enclosure.

Purpose The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the applicant's intermediate tem program for improving t'le qualifications of its corporate management with respect to operating experience and with regard to training.

Discussion The staff noted that the program outlined in the March 4,1981 letter was an acceptable short-tem response to the concerns raised by the IE/NRR audit team in the February 9-11 meeting. However, we expressed two areas of concern with respect to the intemediate term, i.e., q:Atlifications of corporate personnel and plant training. Of specific concern was their plans for transition from the use of cortoct personnel to the time when the contract personnel were no loner needed.
The applicant described in general tems their plans for increasing the size and scope of the corporate staff as they also described their plans for establishing a training center with a simulator to be operational by early 1983. Although the omgram described appeared to be generally responsive to ou-concerns, we requested that this information be documented and submitted for review. The applicant indicated that this would be done within two weeks.
