Indications in Previously Acceoted Welds On June 25, 1980, Houston Lighting & Power Company notified your office cf an item concerning results of r'eevaluations of piping welds previously found acceptable by nondestructive examination. Licuid penetrant retest determined that eight (8) of these welds exhibited lineal indications in excess of code limitations. On November 21, 1980, your office approved a limited reexamination, repair and restart program for ASME Pipe and Pipe Support Welding. These subject welds which form the basis of this report are included as part of this overall reexamination arid repair program. The next report will be submitted to your office by March 26, 1981.
