Brown and Root, Incorporated Docket No. 99900502/80-03 NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on Seotemoer 29 - October 3, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with 10 CFR Part 21 requirements.
Specific requirements and noncom-pliances thereto are as follows:
Section 21.6 of 10 CFR Part 21 requires that (1) Section 206 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, the Regulations and procedures in their entirity, or (2) an abbreviated notice containing Section 206 and describe-ing the content and location of the Regulations and procedures and the name of the individual to whom reports may be made, must be posted in a conspicuous position wherever safety related activities are being conducted.
Contrary to the above, neither a copy of Section 206 and the Regulations and procedures in their entirity, nor an abbreviated notice containing Section 206 and describing the content and location of the Regulations and procedures, as well as the individual to whom reports may be made, were posted in the Brown and Root facility at 5800 Ranchester Street even through safety related piping system stress analysis and pipe hanger design activities were being conducted by Brown and Root, Nuclear Pcwer Service, and Associated Technologies Incorporated personnel.
