MODES 1, 2, 3 and 4:

With one control r6cm normal and emergency air handling system inoperable,

I a. With one control room normal and emergency air handling system inoperable, restore the inoperable system to OPERABLE status within 7 days or initiate and maintain operation of the control room emergency air cleanup syste'm in the recirculation mode.

b. , With both control room normal and emergency air handling systems inoperable, suspend all operations involving CORE ALTERATI]NS or posit've reactivity changes.
c. The provisions of Specification 3.0.3 are not applicable in MODE 6.

SURVEILLANCE RiQUIREMENTS

4.7.6 Each control room normal and emergency air handling system shall be

! demonstrated OPERABLE:

c. At least once per 18 nanths or (1) after any structural maintenance
  • on the HEPA filter or charcoal adsorber housings, or (2) following painting, fire or chemical release in any ventilation zone i communicating with the system by:

7 LIMITING CCNDITION FOR OPERATION ..

! i 3.9.11 Two independent spent fuel pool ventilation systems shall be OPERAELE.

APPLICABILITY: Whenever irradiated fuel is in the spent fuel pool.

ACTIO_ N:

a. With one spent fuel pool ventilation system inoperable, fuel movement within the spent fuel pool or crane operation with loads over the spent fuel pool may proceed provided the OPERABLE spent fuel pool ventilation system is in operation and discharging through at least one train of HEPA filters and charcoal adsorbers.
b. With no spent fuel pool ventilation system OPERABLE, suspeed all operations involving movement of fuel within the spent fuel pool or

' crane operation with loads over the spent fuel pool until at least one spent fuel pool ven'.ilation system is restored to OPEAABLE status.
