This refers to the routine aifeguards inspection conducted by Messrs. T. J. Madeda and G. L. Pirtle of this oP._ce on January 22 and 23,1981, of activities at the William H. Zimmer Nuclear Power Station authorized by NRC License No. SNM-1823 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. R. Schott and other members of his staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examina-tion of procedures and representative records, observations, and interviews with personnel.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection. During this inspection, a verbal commitment was made by the licensee. The commitment is identifed in Paragraph 5 of the enclosed report. It is our understanding that action will be initiated and/or implemented as described in the report.
Should changes or revisions to this item be necessary, please notify this office.
Areas examined during the inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure.according to Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Consequently, our report of this inspec-tion will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
