Dear Mr. Kay:
The Conraission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 62 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee-Rowe).
The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated May 20, 1980 (Proposed Change No. 169).
The amendment revises the Technical Specifications to clarify the use of the term "0PERABLE" as it applies to the single failure criterion for safety systems in power reactors. This change is in response to our letter to you dated April 10, 1980.
Copies of our Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
