Dear Mr. Courter:

This is to express our opposition to the proposed Pt.

Pleasant pumping station.

Additional drainage of the Delaware is not warranted for the purpose of further developing Bucks and Montgomery Counties, especially since the population of those areas is currently dropping.

Aside from that we do not consider it desirable that the Limerick power p,lant be made operational at this time, because the safety of nuclear power plants is far from proved, or rather I should say the ability of Nuclear Plant staffs to operate them safely is far from proved, viz the screw-up at TMI, and the current inability to clean the plant up without venting some quantity of radioactive gas into the atmosphere.:Purther= ore, we cannot see relyinE on an as-yet-undevelop d technology for the disposal of nuclear waste.
