acrmmE IE BULLETIN 80-13 CORE SPRAY SPARGER INSPECTICN BROWNS FERE NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 3 (DOCKET NO. 50-296)
On December 5 and 6, 1980, the visual inspection of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant unit 3 core spray spargers was performed. TVA Mechanical Maintenance Instruction 14.3-A was used for guidelines in performing the inspection.
Before the inspection, a metallurgical sample with a 1-mil crack was inspected to verify that the camera used met the resolution requirements of IE Bulletin 80-13. 'Ihe ten-bour inspection met all the requirements of IE Bulletin 80-13; no abnormalities were found. Exposure to each of the four individuals performing the inspection was 10 mrem.
