Dear Mr. Budzik:
1
SUBJECT:
DISTRIBUTION OF GENERIC LETTERS - MIDLAND PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 Per our conversation a few days ago, I have checked the distribution we made for two recent generic letters. The letter concerning BWR Feedwater Nozzle Cracking (Generic Task A-10) dated November 13, 1980 forwarded NUREG-0619 to all applicants for construction permits and operating licenses for their information, regardless of reactor type. Obviously, for PWR applicants this particular item is for information purposes only.
The letter from D. G. Eisenhut dated October 31, 1980 concerning post-TMI requirements transmitted NUREG-0737 to all licensees of operating plants and applicants for operating licenses and holders of construction permi ts. Therefore, it is applicable for all power reactor applicants and licensees, regardless of reactor type or the status of facility construction or operation.
In order to eliminate the volume and cost of duplicate mailing, we try to send only one copy per company of generic l
letters and documents that apply to all nuclear reactor facilities; how&ver, the plant applicability is stated at the top of the letters.
I hope that the above satisfactorily explains our distribution system j
for generic letters and helps to alleviate your concerns.
Sincerely, f
I -
