$ 2 Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Request for Amendment to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16 Technical Specification Change Request No. 84 Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.59, Jersey Central Power & Light Company ( JCP&L )
is submitting a request for an amendment to Appendix B of Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16 for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (OCNGS) . As required by 10 CFR 50.30, three signed originals and forty copies of Technical Specification Change Request No. 84 are enclosed.
This Technical Specification Change Request incit: des: 1) suspension of Oyster Creek Environmental Technical Specifications (OCETS) Environmental Mon i tor i ng Sections 3.1.2. A(2) and 3.1.2.C for two years (Attachments 1-4). and
- 2) minor word changes, which are generally editorial in nature, to correct errors, inconsistencies or redundancies in data collection or reporting that have been discovered in the OCETS since their implementation in June 1979 (Attachment 5).
Further explanation of the requested changes along with specific justifications for each request are contained in the Attachments. A Safety evaluation has been performed for this r equest and is included as Attachment 6.
Thi s change request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Manager, the Plant Operations Review Committee, and the Independent Safety Review Group in accordance with Sections 5.3.E and 5.6.3.8 of the OCETS. The remaining documentation, consisting of the Notary page, letter to the Mayor of Lacey Township, and Certificate of Service has been included as Attachment 7.
