To Be Located Near Prattville, Alabama Docket No. 70-2909 Gentlemen:

On December 6,1980, petitioners Cathalynn Donelson and David L. Allred filed their " Supplement to Petition for Leave to Intervene of Cathalynn Donelson and for Substitution of Named Intervenors".

On December 20, 1980, petitioner Donelson filed her "Second Supplement to Petition of Cathalynn Donelson for Leave to Intervene", in which she identified the contentions filed by petitioner Allred that she would withdraw in the event that she is granted intervenor status in this proceeding.

Pursuant to the order of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (" Licensing Board"), issued in the course of the telephone conference call held among the members of the Licensing Board, the parties and the petitioners on December 9,1980, the NRC Staff is not required to file a response to either of the two Supplements to the Donelson petition until 30 days after the Licensing Board has ruled upon the " Joint Motion for Substitution of Named Intervenor" which was filed by petitioners Donelson and Allred on Novem-ber 10,1980.

Accordingly, the Staff does not intend to file a response to those Supplements at this time.
