Response to IE Bulletin No. 80-21; " Valve Yokes Supplied by Malcolm Foundry Company, Inc."
The following informa tion is provided in response to Reference (b).
As requested in Reference (b) a review of past purchat.e orders was conducted to determine if any valve parts were cast by the Malcum Foundary Company. The purchase orders had no information in this regard.
All active Safety Related valves required for safe shutdown or to mitigate an accident and made of carbon steel were visually inspected for cracking.
No cracking was found, therefore, no further action is necessary.
The following information is submitted in response to your request for estimates of manpower expended in the review, preparation of reports and corrective actions required by this oulletin:
