Dear Mr. Eisenhet:
Omaha Public Power District's letter to the Comission dated December 12, 1980, identified those tasks fu which the District would not meet the implementation date specified in NUREG-0737, but it did not address Item II.D.1, Performance Testing of Safety and Power Operated Relief Valves (PORV's). The District is suomitting this letter as a supplement to our December 12, 1980, letter to address the District's schedule on this task.
The safety valve and PORV testing program is being conducted as a generic effort by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). EPRI currently expects to complete this program and issue the generic report by July 1,1981; however, they do not believe the plant specific reports could be completed by that time. EPRI has proposed an alternate schedule for the plant specific reports, as detailed in the Consumers Power Company letter to the Comission dated December 15, 1980. The District has reviewed the proposed schedule and fully concurs with it. This letter is submitted as endorsement of the proposed schedule for NUREG-0737 Task II.D.I.
