Dear Mr. Rusiecki:
This is in reply to your letter dated December 5,1980, in which you requested pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of lists of people and/or companies licensed by the NRC to use radioactive material.
You also requested a list of state agencies and their addresses for those Agreement States which issue licenses to companies.
In response to your request, we are sending you a computer prepared print-out list of NRC licensees. The total charge for producing this computer printout is $23.89.
Please send a check in the amount of
$23.89 payable to the "U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission" along with a copy of this letter, to the Director, Division of Rules and Records, MNBB-4210, U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, D.C. 20555.
With respect to your second request, enclosed is a list of licensing officials in the 26 Agreement States.
An Agreement. State is one which has assumed regulatory authority from the NRC over uses of byproduct, source, and small quantities of special nuclear material.
Under subsection 274b. of the Atomic Energy Act, a State may assume such authority after an agreement is signed by the Governor.
