Gentlemen:
E A routine safeguards inspection was made of your activities authorized by NRC License XSNM-1656 at the Port of Oakland, Oakland, California, on December 1, 1980.
The inspection was conducted by Region V Safeguards Inspectors A. Wieder and C. Schwan, and Radiation Specialists B. Riedlinger and P. Zurakowski.
These inspectors checked a General Electric Company special nuclear material shipment for compliance with the requirements of Title 10, code of Federal Regulations; Part 70, "Special Nuclear Material", and Part 71, " Packaging of Radioactive Material for Transport and Transportation of Radioactive Material Under Certain Conditions".
There were no items of ncnt empliance found.

In accordance with Section 790(d) of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's
" Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of our findings on your control and accounting procedures for safeguarding special nuclear material are exempt from disclosure. Therefore, the enclosed inspection report will rol be placed in the Public Document Room, but will be given limited distr w tion.
