Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On November 10, 1980, Florida Power Corporation received the subject IE Bulletin 80-21, dated November 6,1980.
Since the receipt of the Bulletin, FPC has been working with valve manufacturers and suppliers to determine if any of the active valves in use or planned for use in safety-related systems at CR-3 have parts cast by Malcolm Foundry Company, Inc.
Al so, FPC has sought additional guidance from Mr.
E. Girari of your office to determine the scope of work to resolve the concern of the Bulletin.
Since it is difficult to respond to all items of the Bulletin by December 8,1980, our response to the Bulletin will be submitted by December 19, 1980.
