- 1) Serial Howe-6h-80, dated March 27, 1980
- 2) Serial 9180, dated June 19, 19,80 This letter, as were the referenced letters, is an interim 50.55(e) report ccnc = -ning the overstressed ccndition in letdown cooler supports.
The manufacturer and E&W are in the process of analyzing the letdown cooler suppcrts based an the actual nozzle loads supplied by the Architect / Engineer.
The result of the analyses are expected to be available by the beginning of November. Once these loads are available, the Architect / Engineer vill analyze the existing support to determine the extent of the modification required. Within the month of December, ve should be able to define whether a major redesig: of the support is necessary or if a minor modification, such as was shown to Mr R H Sutphin during his August 19-22 Midland Site inspection, is all that is required.
Another report, either ir.terim or final, will be sent on or before Decembe: 30, 1950.
