STAT 1JS OF FARLEY 2 LICENSING (OCTOBER 24, 1980) 1.
Plant Status By letters dated October 22 and October 23, 1980, I&E concurred in the issuance of a fuel loading and low power testing license. The license was issued October 23, 1980.
Alabama Power Company (APCo) will start the fuel loading sequence on October 31, with fuel loading into the reactor scheduled to start November 11.
Initial criticality is scheduled for late December.

Full Power License Status SE Input is completed for 5 of 19 Non-TMI Items and 4 of 15 TMI Items.
In addition drafts of SE input have been completed for 9 other items.
Twelve of the remainiag 16 items are expected to be completed by Octcber 31, 1980.
The status of the four remaining items follows:

Environmental Qualification - NUREG-0588 (E08)
(18) Containment Temperature following MSLB (CSB)
APCo has found that the calculated containment temperature following a main steam line breakis higher than previously reported in the FSAR. This requires a heat transfer analysis of equipment to show that it is qualified. APCo is one week late in submitting the temperature transient. Heat transfer calculations are scheduled to be submitted the week of October 27. CSB SE Input is scheduled to be completed the week of November 3, and EQB SE Input is scheduled to be completed the week of November 17.

2-OCT 28 issa (10) Alternate Shutdown Panel (CEB, PSB, ASB, RSB)
On October 8,1980, Power Systems Branch provided to CEB SE Input that requests additional information. Chemical Engineering Branch is the prime review branch and will incorporate input from the other three branches. Request for information is expected from CEB this week. Response by applicant is expected the week of November 3 and complete SE Input from CEB is expected the week of November 10.
III.A.1.1 Upgrade Emergency Preparedness (EPLB)
The Emergency Preparedness Licensing Branch has completed a draft of its SE Input last week. The applicant has scheduled submittal of its approved upgraded Emergency Plan on October 31, and the FEMA exercise during the week of November 17.
