The Comission has filed the enclosed " Notice of Proposed Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License" with the Office of the Federal Register for publication. The notice relates to your reouest dated July 8,1977, for amendment to License No. DPR-2 for the Dresden Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
The amenchent would extend from December 31, 1977 to Decanber 31, 1 978, the time provided for modification of the Reactor Protection System and Fire Protection System and allow operation of the facility during 1978 while the modifications required by the Comission's JJne 23, 1976 Order are being made.
That portion of your July 8, 1977 request relating to extension of the ECCS exemption will be t.1e subject of a separate mtice.
