You responded by letter datec I; arch 17, 1977, that fire protection Technical Specifications were not appropriate for your facilities. The Co, mission has determined that Technical Specifications for fire protection systems and ad=inistrative controls are necessary in order to ensure that adequate protection against fires is maintained curing j

review and consideration by us, we have revised the sample Technical Specifications and are enclosing a copy for your guidance.
These revisions do r.ot change the scope of the equipment or administrative controls covered by the previous sample fire protection Technical Specifi-cations. However, the action statements have been revised to describe core appropriate corrective measures to be taken in the event a licitino i-condition for operation is not met. There have also been changes in the surveillance frequency on son:e items for consistency with the overall systen surveillance schedule.
Open completion of our evaluation of the fire protection progra f or your facilities, the Technical Specifications for your facilities are to be revised to incorporate all elements of the final fire prctection systems and a6:ini-strative controls. Allowance will be made for nedifications t:iat reouire additional time to complete by making certain equip:nent or systea spcciti-cations effective at the timo such equipment is installea and operable.
