'Je have reviewed Dresden Special Report No. 4A, "Modifieu Off-Gas Systca", subsitted with your letter of November 8,1972, and have determined that the off-gas system for Dresden 2 and 3 described in that report is acceptable. However, our evaluation indicates that the gaseous effluent release from the Dresden site is not as low as practicable. The lack of an aug=ented of f-gas system at Dresden Unit 1 results in effluent gaseous releases fro = Unit 1 which are far in excess of the combined releases of Dresden 2 and 3 with their augmented system.
Since we do not consider the Dresden 1 releases as low as practicable, you are requested to cubnit plans, including design criteria,..nd a schedule for installation of an augnented of f--gas sys tcc at Dresden 1.
Your submittal should be made uithin 60 days of the date of this letter with one signed original and thirty-nine additional copies.
