Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. T. E. Vandel of this
office, at the Commonwealth Edison Company offices in Chicago, Illinois,
and to discussions of our findings with Mr. W. J. Shewski and others of
your staff on March 11, 1974. The inspection was an ==4== tion of the
corrective action outlined in your letter of December 10,1973, in
response to the RO:III letter of November 21, 1973. In regard to these
matters we have no further questions at this time.
A copy of our report of this inspection is enclosed and identifies the

records and interviews with personnel.

By way of this letter we wish to confirm our understanding that the

Corporate Quality Assurance Manual applies to nuclear fuels procurement
activities.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter sad the
enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC's Public Document Room.
