D In accordance with the requirements of License DPR-2, Appendix A, as amended by chantte No. 7, dated April 9, 1364, the trasden reactor control rod drives were tested and inspected during the refueling outage in April and May,1964 The attached riport includes the results of inspection of four drives:
.;-4 Malf.nc-i;n - n;cx drive C-4 Malfunction - stuck drive E-9 Malfunction - drifted out of the core slowly when used as cocked red during a re fueling C-3 Operabla drive with history of high friction Despite malfunctioning on three of the four drives, they were all capi. ale of being inserted into the core. Subsequent inspections in-dicated that no overall failure of ccuponents had occurred or was imminent.
