Dear Dr. Williams:
his is to inform you that Florida Power Corporation, St. Petersburg, 7;t Florida, has subnitted an application for construction permits and

operating licenses for two pressurized water nuclear reactors desig-nated as Crystal River Units 3 & 4 Nuclear Generating Plant. He pro-posed facilities will be located on the Corporation's site on the Gulf of U.exico, 70 miles north of Tampa and about 7-1/2 miles north-vest of Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida.
The proposed reactors are each designed _for initial operation at approximately 2452 megawatts thercal with a gross electrical output of approximately 855 negawatts.
The applicant anticipates the two facilities will be completed and ready for cot:=creial service in April 1972 and in 1974 respectively.
A copy of a related notice which has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal-Register for filing and publication is enclosed for your information.
