Dear Mr. Jones:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 55 to Facility Operating License No. OPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.1.
This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application transmitted by letter dated January 14, 1981.
The amendment changes the Technical Specifications to allow operation through Cycle 6 with less than 75 percent of the incore detectors operable provided additional compensatory measures are followed.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
