AMENDED 10CFR50. 5 5 (e) REPORT BERGEN-PATERSON PIPE SUPPORT STRUT WITH MECHANICAL SHOCK ARRESTOR CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 Ref: ULNRC-393, 10/7/80 In the referenced letter we indicated that we had determined that two pipe support strut assemblies delivered to Callaway had not been corrected as Bergen-Paterson had oreviously indicated to us.
On October 20, 1980 we verbally notified Region III that four more assemblies had been located at Callaway which had in-j cufficient clearances to permit the specified angular movement.
Preliminary indications are that Bergen-Paterson has now determined that additional assemblies delivered to callaway do not permit the specified angular movement.
This was reported to Region I as a SNUPPS generic significant deficiency on October 27, 1980.
We have been informed that Bergen-Paterson filed a 10 CFR Part 21 report with the Commission on October 29, 1980.
SNUPPS will submi a written report on this matter by November 26, 1980.
