items for the Public Service Electric & Gas Company, Salem 1 & 2 and the Consolidated Edison Company, Indian Point 3, projects.

Description of Circumstances A special inspection of these items at the Salen site revealed not only arcas of defective welding, but also omission of certain stiffeners and gussets shown on design drawings.
Edison Company also noted similar type problems.
The Consolidated The Sun Shipyard Corporation indicates that no similar components were provided other nuclear facilities.

Action Recuested In view of these particular type problems with seismic category 1
