Dear Sir:
Submitted herewith is the Monthly Statistical Report for the Yankee Atomic Nuclear Power Station for the month of April, 1974.
We would again like to point out our method of calculating Plant Capacity Factor (item 12, pg.1).
Because our licensed power level is based upon reactor thelmal power and, for a given reactor power, net electrical power can vary due to water temperature and station auxiliary load, we base our plant capacity factor on reactor themal output.
Plant Capacity Factor = gr ss themal power generated (MW hours) 600 Miri x gross hours in period We trust this change is acceptable, for we see no reasonable method of calculation based upon net generation values.
