This refers to your request dated Feb2 vary 21,1961 and supplement

Change No. 3 in your facility pursuant to paragraph 3.A. of License No. DPR-3, as amended.

We have reviewed the proposed modification of the facility and have found that installation of a vent system from the distillate accumalator tank in the radioactive waste disposal system as described does not present significant hazards considerations not described or implicit in the license application as amended to January 12, 1961, and there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered by operation of the facility as proposed. A copy of car analysis of the operation of the facility with the modification described is attached hereto.
In view of the foregoing, authorization is hereby granted to Tankee Atomic Electric Company to install a vent system from the distillate i
accumalator tank in the radioactive waste disposal system in accordance with Tankee's Proposed Change No. 3, dated February 21, Ii 1961 and supplement thereto dated May 22, 1961.
