The Comission har issued the enclosed Amend:,ent No.48 to Facility 05erating License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yankee-Rowe). The amendnent consists of changes to the Appendix A Technical Specifications in response to your applications dated November 14,1977 (Proposed Change No.156 and March 16,1978 (Proposed Change No. 159).
The amendment revises the Appendix A Techn1 cal Seecifications by adding surveillance requirer:ents for the Emergency Core Cooling Systen !!igh Pressure Safety Injection throttle valves, and by reducing the maxinum allowable rate for pressurizer heat 6p. from 200*F/ hour to 100*F/ hour.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation and Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
