OF OCTOBER 9, 1980 MEETING REGARDING PRESERVICE INSPECTION PROGRAM i
1.
General g
On October 9, 1980, the staff met with representatives of the applicant to discuss their preservice inspection program for Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1.
2.
.Pyroose The purpose of the meeting was to review the staff concerns regarding the applicant's preservice inspection plan submitted by letter dated September 17, 1980.
3.
Discussion The principal concern with the applicant's submittal resulted from the applicant combining both the preservice inspection plan and the inservice inspection plan in a single document. The applicant, prior to the meeting proposed a single document with the preservice inspection plan.
This document which was left with the staff will be submitted on the docket in the near future.
The staff also expressed a concern that the applicant had identified all relief requests. We discussed some of the candidate areas based on experience from the review of similar facilities.
The following schedule for future events was agreed to at the meeting:
October 24, 1980 - Staff comments to applicant on revised submittal.
November 14, 1980 - Applicant submits revised plan including all relief requests.
