NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL On June 30, 1980, the Commission issued a Memorandum and Order, CLI-80-28, with respect to the issue as to whether "significant changes" had occurred within the meaning of Section 105c(2) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 5215c(2). Inter alia, it requested the parties to submit "information with regard to any new developments to us and to the Department of Justice. "

The Staff, by letter dated July 8, 1980, reques ted certain information from South Carolina Electric & Gas in order to enable it to respond to the Commission's Order.

By letter dated July 28, 1980, the undersigned as Counsel for South Carolina Electric & Gas ("SCE&G") responded to the Staff's request with information furnished to him by the Applicant.

On the basis of the information brought to light in the letter dated August 5, 1980 to Fredric Chanania, NRC from Wallace E. Brand, Counsel for Central Electric Power hd 5
