Docket No. 50-206 Environmental Qualification of Electrical Equipment San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 My letter of June 18, 1980 provided information regarding the environmental qualification of safety-related electrical equipment at San Onofre Unit 1.
On July 21, 22 and 23, 1980 we met with representatives of the NRC Staff and Franklin Research Center to review our June 18 submittal and inspect safety-related electrical components at the plant site. On August 29, 1980 the NRC issued an amendment to our Provisional Operating License which

requires the submittal of information which fully and completely responds to the staffs requests regarding environmental qualification.
The purpose of this letter is to update the environmental qualification information proviced in our June 18, 1980 submittal. Provided as an enclosure to this letter is a revised copy of the informatior, provided by our June 18 letter. The revisions to the submittal respond to comments made by the NRC Staff and Franklin at the July site visit, such as' including the residual heat removal system and providing specific component nurrt)ers. Revisions to the enclosure are loentified by change bars in the right hand margin with the exception of Tables 5A and 6 which have been completely revised. The information in this enclosure substantially responos to the requirements of the amencment to our license issued on August 29, 1980.
