-NOTICE OF VIOLATION Babcock and Wilcox Company License No. SNM-1168 Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant Based on the NRC inspection August 26-29, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you i
dated December 31, 1974.
As required by License Condition No. 9 authorizing use in accordance with the statements, representations and conditions contained in Seccion V,
" Conditions" of the licensee's application; and subsection 7.4.3.1 " Area Moderation Control" that states " Service Water piping entering the pellet-izing area shall be baffled or enclosed---so as to preclude spraying in the event of a joint or line rupture."
Contrary to the above, on August 26, 1980, one section of a sheet metal baffle was not in place over service water piping in the pelletizing area.
This is an infraction.
