This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Sanders of this

office on September 17-18, 1974 at Rowe, Massachusetts of activities

i

authorized by AEC License No. DPR-3 and to the discussions of

our findings held by Mr. Sanders with Mr. Jones at the conclusion

,

of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection included: displacement of the

safety injection system pipe hangers, installation of hydraulic restraints

to the pressurizer, plant modifications for the effects of a postulated

-

pipe break outside cont..u . ant and thin wall valve verification program.

Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations

of proccfures and representative records, intervieus with personnel,

and observations by the inspector.

Within tl e scope of this inspection, no violations or safety

items were observed.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice",

Part 2, Title .'O, Code. of Federal Regulations, a copy of this

letter and the aclosed inspection report will be placed in the

AEC's Public Docuent Room.
