Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
This letter is in response to your correspondence of October 1, 1980 concerning BWR Scram Systems. Jersey Central Power G Light Company is a member of the BWR Owners Group, and as such intends to reevaluate its present scram system and modify it as necessary to meet the additional design and performance criteria developed by the Owners Sub-Group.
It is also our intent to provide by December 15, 1980, the results of the above reevaluation (including required modifications) along with a schedule for implementation.
A reassessment of our present scram system indicates that it is in compliance with the applicdle General Design Criteria (Appendix A to 10CFR50).
