Narrative

Peport for LER 50-366/1980-137.

On September 29, 1930, while the reactor was shutdown and while performing HNP-2-3309, HPCI Turbine Exhaust Diaphragm Pressure Func. ional Test and Calibration, pressure switch 2E41-N012D was found actuating at 11.8 psig.

Tech Spec Tabic 3.3.2-2 requires actuation at 510 psig. P.eduadant switches 2E41-N012A, B and C were operable and in tolerance.

Public health and safety was not affected by this event.

Plant operation was not affected by this event. This event was repetitive as last reported on Reportable

Occurrence Report 50-366/1980-02(-

The cause of this event has been attributed to setpoint drift.

The switch, Darksdale Model D?H, was immediately recalibrated as per HHP-2-5279, Barksdale Pressure Suitch Ca.ibration, and functionally tested successfully and returned to service.

The unit is now in full compliance and no further reporting is required.

2 A generic review of this event revealed no inherent problems.

Unit I does not use the same type switch for this application.
