OPERATING LICENSE i
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccmmission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 26 to Facility Operating License Nc. DPR-70, issued to 3
Public Service Electric and Gas Company (the licensee), which revised th5 license for operation of the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 (the facility), located in Salem County, New Jersey.
The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance and is to be fully implemented within 30 days of Commission approval in accordance with the provisions of

10 CFP. J2.40(b).
The amendnent adds a license condition to include the Commission-app-oved Safeguards Contingency Plan as part of the license.
The licensee's filings comply with the standards and reouirements of tne Atomic Energy Act of 195d, as amended (the 4ct), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as recuired by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendmen; was not required since the amendment dces not involve a sige.ificant F.azards consideration.
