' Written Statement for Item of, Noncompliance
- Reports:No. 50-151/80-02; 50-356/80-02 Corrective ~ Action Taken-During the inspection on August 20, 1980, a telephone request was made to Argonne National Lab personnel for a copy of the certification and safety analysis of the 7A ' shipping container that had been utili 4 to ship radioactive materials to the Argonne National ~ Lab. This. certification and safety analysis was received on - August 25, 1980..It is presently filed with other. materials related to these shipments.
Corrective Action to be Taken to Avoid Further Noncompliance This was' an. oversight on our part.since these shipments were the first
- for this type of materials from the' Nuclear Reactor Laboratory.
It had been assumed that the shipping container met.the specifications because of the labels on the outside of the container. Ilowever, in the' future, written confirmation will be obtained previous to shipping of class A materials.
This will be' the joint responsibility of the Reactor Supervisor and the Reactor Health Physicist.
