Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

In accordance with the Licensee submittal schedule established in Reference (A),

this letter provides the NRC with Boston Edison's respense to those NRC Task Action Plan (TAP) items having an October 1, 1980 licensee submittal date. The TAP items requiring a licensee submittal by October 1, 1980 are:

The following are our responses:

II.E.4.1 Dedicated H9 Penetrations Boston Edison provided the requested information in Ref-erence (B) under NUREG-0578 Item 2.1.5.a.

II.K.3.13 Separation of HPCI and RCIC Initiation Levels General Electric in association with the BWR Owners Group has developed generic positions for the separation of HPCI and RCIC setpoints, and the restart of RCIC on low level.

BECo intends to adopt the generic Owners Group position follcwing our com-prehensive review of tht position.

Should our review indicate that the Owners Group position can only be adopted in part 0

II.K.3<30 Revised Small Break LOCA As discussed during the September 22, 1980 Region I NRC meeting in Arlington, Virginia, General Electric will provide the NRC with a generic position on this item. BECo will deter-mine the applicability of the position to Pilgrim Station and will advise the NRC of any deviations from the generic pos-ition.
