Dear Mr. Grier:
Subject:
Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 I.

A thorough review of the Emergency Notification System (ENS) by direct inspection and with the telephone company representative, indicates t. a t power to the system is supplied through safety-related busses.
Back-up power is available through the two diesel generators.
The power is therefore solely on site and derived from re-liable power sources.

A loss of offsite power surveillance was cond-ucted prior to this bulletin and it was verified that t'.e diesel generators can supply power to the safety busses.
The ENS was not specifically tested during the loss of power test; however, the power supplies which feed the ENS were shown to be re-powered as required.
Per discussion with the telephone company representative, the ENS will be energized and in operation as soon as power is supplied to it, as mentioned above.
Item 5.
A directive was issued concerning notification of the NRC Operations Center within one (1) hour if any extension of the ENS is found to be in-operable.
Based on the above investigation, no modification to the 1
