This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. Johnson, Kister,
and Kohler on July 15-17. 22-25, and 29-31, 1975, of activities

at Dresden Nuclear Power Station Units 1. 2 and 3 authorized by
NRC Operating Licenses Eo. DPR-2, No. DPR-19 and No. DPR-25 and
to the discussions of our findings conducted by Messrs. Knop and
Johnson with you, Messrs. Palner and Stephenson, and other members

of your staff on September 5, 1975.
A copy of our report of this inspection is enclosed and identifies
j
the areas exanined during the inspection. Within these areas, the
i
inspection consisted of a selective exanination of procedures and
i
representative records, interviews with plant personnel, and obser-
-
!
vations by the inspectors.

During this inspection, it was found that cartsin of your activities
{
appear to be in nonec=pliance with URC requiret_ents. The items and
i
reference to the pertinent requirements are listed under Enforcement
i
Action in the Succary of Findings Section of the enclosed inspection
report.

This notice is sent to you pursuant to the provisions of Section
2.201 of the CC's "nules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of
I
Federal Regulations. Section 2.201 requires you to submit to this
l
office uitbin twenty days of your receipt of this notice, a written
statement or explanation in reply, including:
(1) corrective steps
which have been taken by you, and the results achieved; (2) corrective
l
steps which vill be ta?.en to avoid further itema of noncompliance;
and (3) the date when full co=pliance vill be schieved. Except for
Infraction No. 1, such a statenent or explanation should be provided
for each nouco=pliance item listed. Prior to the conclusion of the
inspection, the inspectors deternined that correceive action had
been taken with respect to Infraction No. 1, and we have no further
questions regarding this ites at this time.
