Dear Mr. Parris:

By letter of March 27, 1980 we requested that the Responsibility Matrix of the Browns Ferry Safeguards Contingency Plan be revised to provide a better picture of actions to be taken in responding to contingency events and the interrelationships of these actions.

The enclosure to your letter of May 9,1980 (PSS-SIL 19.0), which you furnished to us for information only, does provide an indication that you have adequately considered the interrelationships of contingency actions.

However, inasmuch as you have not submitted the infonnation for approval, we are still unable to formally accept your contingency plan.

Until information comparable to that found in PPS-SIL 19.0, Security Matrix, is submitted, your plan cannot be apr ~. ved.

Please respond promptly so this matter can be brought to a t.Pely resolution.
