GM-687 Gentlemen:
The following is submitted in response to your letter dated July 31, 1980 concerning I.E.Bulletin 80-19.
Westinghouse and Bechtel do not provide mercury-vietted relays for matri., logic applications in the reactor protection system for Plant Vogtle.
The only use of mercury-wetted relays in the Westinghouse 7300 protection system are relays used for temperature channel test inputs from resistance temperature detectors. These relays are hermetically sealed and are not used in reactor trip circuits.
It is estimated that 40 hours4.62963e-4 days <br />0.0111 hours <br />6.613757e-5 weeks <br />1.522e-5 months <br /> were used for the review of design and preparation of this report. No manpower will be required for corrective actions.
