BYPASS AND RESET OF ENGINEERED SAFETY FEATURE (ESF)

ACTUATION SIGNALS NORTH ANNA POWER STATION - UNIT 1 We have received Mr. -Robert A. Clark's letter of July 10, 1980, and Mr. Thomas Novak's letter of July 25, 1980, both concerning the above subject.

Our initial review indicated that responses to these requests for additional information could be prepared consistient with your requested completion dates of August 15, 1980, and August 31, 1980, respectively, for the two letters.

However, delays were encountered by our A-E in the preparation of the responses.

We have received preliminary responses and are reviewing them at this time.

We expect to be able to transmit final responses to you in early October, 1980. We regret any inconvenience this delay may have caused in your continuing revieg of this subject.
