Dear Mr. Crow:

In the Matter of the

)

Docket Nos. 070-02910 Tennessee Valley Authority

)

070 r 913 The Special Nuclear Material License, SMN-1863, for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Unit 2, and SNM-1861, for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Unit 1, will expire September 30, 1980. An extension to SNM-1861 and SMN-1863 is necessary because of delays indicated in my March 7, 1980, letter to L. S. Rubenstein which requested a construction permit extension and my June 26, 1980, letter to A. Schwencer which gave the expected completion dates for the two units.

Therefore, we hereby request th SNM-1863, be extended to March 31, 1981, and SNM-1861, be extended to December 31, 1981.

Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY L
