July 28, 1980 Mr. Boyce H. Grier, Director Office of Inspection and Enforcement Region I U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 631 Park Avenue King of Prussia, Pennsylvania 19406

Dear Mr. Grier:

Subject:

Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 I E Bulletin No. 80-17 Addendum 2 to the subject bulletin required additional action beyond the scope of the originally issued bulletin.

This additional action was invoked subsequent to ?. data review of scram testing performed under the guidelines of the original I E bulletin.

Specifically, addendum 2 required a review of the SDV system design to determine which plants had components other than vent valve (s) which must be operated in order to affect proper system drainage.

Plants which employ this design are required to provide an alternate vent path away from the SDV.

The purpose of this letter is to serve notification that the Oyster Creek SDV system design does not include any components other than vent valves.

Based on the above no further action is considered necessary.
