SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 4, 1980 A meeting was held with the applicant on September 4,1980 in Bethesda, Maryland to discuss the final design of the Standby Shutdown Facility. A list of attendees is shown in Enclosure No.1.
The staff in its Supplement No. 2 to the McGuire Safety Evaluation Report approved the conceptual design of the Standby Shutdown Facility. On March 31, 1980 the applicant submitted its final design description of the facility. The presentation and discussion by the applicant followed the agenda and description shown in Enclosure No. 2.
The presentation provided elaboration of the discussion submitted in the March 31, 1980 letter.
The installation of the standby shutdown facility is underway with essentially all of the major components in place. Tie-in or connection of the facility with the station will occur subsequent to the staff review and approval. As part of its review, the staff indicated that a site visit may be cor.sidered and suggested a September 25/26, 1980 time period, tj' $0 Ralph A.
